The difficulties involved in proper calibration of humidity sensors are often underestimated by calibration laboratory engineers and technicians. This paper will discuss some of the error sources that are present in many sensors commonly brought in for calibration and in some cases, will discuss ways to minimize the effect of these errors. Description of various humidity calibration standards will be provided, as well as information regarding their accuracy and convenience.
