摘要

A new set of electronic mass comparators for highly precise mass determinations of solid test pieces is presented. The relevant design principles as electromagnetic force compensation, window range technology, load alternation and self centering are discussed. Small volume differences between the mass standard and the test piece caused by the buoyancy influence to the ambient air can already lead to non-negligable corrections of the mass comparison results. A new detector system to sensor the relevant air density parameters in connection with a data processing system is introduced as an outstanding alternative to existing traditional solutions. This system works automatically so human errors are excluded and time is saved considerably. Furtheron, a new method of direct air density determination will be presented.
