摘要

A mesh adaptation process is presented that is a combination of h-methods and r-methods performing local optimization of a mesh to equally distribute an error estimate criterion. Emphasis is placed on mesh anisotropy, hence a criterion is developed by integrating the error field along the edges of the mesh. The adaptation step and the overall loop mesher/solver are shown to converge well and give excellents results. The approach is validated on external flow configurations.
