摘要

This article presents an approach on the numerical investigations of mixed friction systems. By means of the Finite Element Method, a three-dimensional model has been developed at the micro-scale to calculate the influence of selected parameters on the behavior of frictional contact systems. Composed of two sliding rough surfaces and one lubricating fluid, the model is taken into account adhesion effect taking place in the pseudo solid-solid contact. To simulate the interactions between the fluid and the solid structure, the Coupled-Eulerian-Lagrangian meshing process is utilized for its ability to keep good results despite of large contact domain topology changes observed in such complex friction systems. Based on a section of an axial floating bearing, the model calculates the contact pressure and temperature, the stress and also the friction coefficient between the two lubricated solids. This approach gives the opportunity to identify the influence parameters on the tribological behavior of mixed friction systems.
