摘要

The results of this part of the study reveal that when the stability condition is met (i.e., n < m), the general features of the computed equilibrium density distribution are independent of the magnitude of n and m. Also, the computed density inthe bone is independent of the shape of the RRF as long as the functions have the same and unique reference value for the stimulus S{sub}0 (e.g., RRF of Types 1 and 2, and the nonlinear RRF). However, for human bone, the magnitude of the reference value(and its uniqueness or multiplicity) still remains unknown. From the results of the overall study, it is concluded that once the simulated BRP is stable, the computed density is independent of the definition of the stimulus, and the shape of the RRF provided the functions have a unique reference value for thestimulus. Nonetheless, quantification of the nature of the RRF corresponding to human bone remains outstanding.
