摘要

In this paper, a unique ribbon wound multilayer pressure vessel is proposed for the first time, its structure principle, basic characteristics and its manufacturing technique are intruduced in detail. Theoretically, in comparison with the various high pressure vessel manufacturing technique, this new type of pressure vessel has some outstanding features, such as reasonable structure, simplified manufacturing process, high producing efficiency etc. e.g. the raw material, the amount of plate bending, forging, welding and the requirement for pre- and post-weld heat treatment processes all these can be reduced to a minimum amount and without compromising the safety aspect of the vessel. So, the development and application of this unique technique will have significant economical and engineering advantages.
