Strengthening National Extension Services in Sub-Saharan Africa: Summary Discussion

During the presentations I was glad to hear someone mention the fear of change, because this is something that permeates the whole structure of agriculture, research, education, extension, and also policy. If you stand still while we add one billion more people a year, you walk backward on the food production front, and you carry all of the other sectors with you, so that the rest of the economy moves backward as well.
