An algorithm for restoring stratospheric backscatter coefficients from ground- based lidar measurements is shown. An error analysis of the algorithm, which includes aerosol extinction is provided. The main investigated error sources are: the boundary condition, the molecular backscatter coefficients, and the influence of the aerosol light extinction.
