Molecular beam reactive scattering experiments are performed with H2$PLU prepared in selected vibrational state distributions via resonantly enhanced multiphoton ionization. The technique allows a systematic exploration of the effects of reactant energy on product angular and energy distributions. Cross sections for the exoergic reaction H2$PLU $PLU H2 $YLD H3$PLU $PLU H, differential in scattering angle and recoil energy, are measured at c.m. collision energies of 1 - 5 eV. The endoergic reaction He $PLU H2$PLU $YLD HeH$PLU $PLU H is investigated at c.m. collision energies of 0.3 - 1.9 eV.
