This paper establishes the data interface program between the Pre/Post Processing module of I-DEAS and three-dimensional finite element elastic contact analysis (FEECA) procedure. By using FEECA procedure, the loading distribution, contact analysis, stress and deformation simulation of new type of worm gearing transmission used in cement grinder are obtained. By means of the data interface and I-DEAS software, the computational results are simulated on SUN working station.
