Parameters of twin roll casting process were experimentally investigated. Important factors to get fine surface quality are defined. The molten metal feeding system of the twin roll caster is important, because the distribution of the molten metal flow must be optimized in the pool which formed between the twin rolls. The roll materials make the difference of the solidification and the quality of strip. The characteristics of type 304 stainless steel strips produced through this process are also investigated.
