Utilization of Experimental Data in Elastic Multibody Simulation: Case Study on the Ampair 600 Turbine Blade

摘要

The development of detailed elastic multibody models is a standard practice for the transient analysis of complex mechanical and mechatronic systems. With the constant increase in complexity of modern engineering problems, however, the development of representative multibody models may not be feasible. Consequently, the utilization of Experimental Dynamic Substructuring is necessary to integrate experimentally derived data into the modeling process. Within this contribution, Experimental Dynamic Substructuring is carried out on an Ampair 600 Wind Turbine blade. A particular interest of the work lies in the consideration of the strong nonlinearity of the inertia-variant multibody model. A first investigation of the derived multibody model exhibits an exact representation of the measured mode shapes, natural frequencies, and damping ratios.
