In the increasingly complicated power system, the bus voltage violation problem is becoming more and more remarkable, which makes it urgent to design an effective and economical approach to solve it. This paper proposes an easy and agile algorithm to optimize and adjust the generator bus voltage automatically on the basis of the AIMMS software. This algorithm computes the adjustment volume of generator bus voltages through the sensitivity and optimization theory and combines the available dispatching technical support system (D5000) with the AIMMS software by the Python language. The proposed algorithm is validated to be effective and efficient by tests on some provincial power system.
