The possibility of using sulphate wastewaters containing a surface active agent is investigated, which are the waste of detergents production for regeneration of cation filters. The dependencies are given, allowing calculating the residual content of the surface active agent in the water entering the boiiers. It is theoretically calculated and practically confirmed that a small amount of the surface active agent could get into soft water. Over 25 filter cycles were carried out using the regeneration solution prepared from wastewater of the installation producing detergents. The filter cycles have shown that the working capacity is preserved completely and makes up 270-300 g-equiv/m~3. The technological scheme is proposed for utilization of sulphate wastewater of the installation producing detergents. This scheme allows ensuring stable regeneration of the cation-exchange filters using the sulphate solution.
