The world LNG market is in the midst of global reform in pursuit of more liquidity and flexibility. All the components in LNG value chain are now forced to change their way of being to adjust to the new framework. LNG marine transport is no exception. It used to be the simple repetition between A port and B port, but it is changing to the numerous combination of ever-increasing number of load ports and discharging ports. Duration of charter contract used to be as long as 15 to 20 years, but recently it tends to be shorter than before, and a number of vessels that get around in spot charter market is gradually increasing.
