Properties of Cold Sprayed Composite Metal + B_4C Coatings

摘要

In the present work the properties of composite coatings obtained by the cold spraying were studied. Boron carbide powder was used as a reinforcement component and copper, aluminum, titanium, and nickel powders were used as metallic components. Structure and properties of two-component coatings such as porosity, thickness, and hardness, were compared with the properties of metallic coatings. The obtained results can be used to develop composite coatings with desired properties.
