摘要

We investigate Monte Carlo Levermore-Pomraning algorithms for transport through a binarystochastic medium with spatially-inhomogeneous material statistics. A straightforwardextension of algorithms used for spatially-homogeneous statistics to the spatiallyinhomogeneouscase is described. A set of analytic Levermore-Pomraning test problemsin rod-geometry for both the pure absorber and scattering cases is used to verify the MonteCarlo Levermore-Pomraning algorithm for spatially-inhomogeneous material statistics.Analytic and numerical results demonstrate that spatial variation in mean chord lengthdistributions can have a significant impact on material flux distributions.
