Whilst dye-sensitized solar cell (DSC) devices have not yet reached the high efficiencies of perovskite solar cells, there have recently been a number of reports of major improvements in efficiency with several reports of liquid DSC devices with η > 12% [1-4], a new record of η = 14.7% [5] and J_(sc) > 21 mAcm~(-2) for co-sensitized DSC devices which is a similar value to perovskite cells [6]. Many of these improvements in liquid devices have arisen from the use of co-sensitization of two dyes which complicates scaled dye processing because it is necessary to control loading during competitive dye sorption.
