In the last twenty years in the Republic of Macedonia (1996-2016), numerous structural reforms and changes in the educational system have been repeatedly funded by external foreign donors. Considering that the implementation of these projects uses huge financial funds, the research problem of this study is concentrated on the level of readiness of school principals in terms of the sustainability and institutionalization of the benefits of the implementation of numerous projects, the willingness to apply teamwork and the implementation of participatory management, i.e. delegating tasks to employees. The survey covered a total of 13 primary schools from urban areas in Macedonia from the region of Tetovo, Gostivar and Kicevo. The crucial sources of information in this research are the teachers and school principals. For this occasion, 500 primary schools teachers have been selected and structured according to the settlement in which they work and according to their involvement in project activities in the school. Furthermore, a total of 13 school principals were interviewed. The results of this survey are processed by quantitative description in their statistical processing, where the arithmetic average, standard deviation and t-test are calculated, and the same are presented in tables. These results represent a strong foundation in the field of management and allow the establishment of a legal framework in terms of sustainability, i.e. the institutionalization of changes in schools following the completion of the stage of implementation, in the period that follows after the end of the external financing.
