(1030) THE SYSTEM OF MANAGING ONLINE INTELLIGENCE TESTS IN IDENTIFYING INTELLECTUALLY GIFTED STUDENTS

There are two intelligence tests being developed and used to identify intellectually gifted studentsaged eight to 15 years old throughout Malaysia for enrolling the PERMATApintar programs at TheUniversiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). The UKM1 online test is an open test for the first screening,while UKM2 online test is a controlled test for the second screening. It is a challenging experience ofmanaging these two tests nationwide. Therefore, a system for managing and monitoring UKM1 andUKM2 has been developed using Rapid Application Development methodology. This system is mainlyused by the Talent Search and Management Program of PERMATApintar National Gifted Center atUKM. It is also used by the authorized and help desk officers at Ministry of Education Malaysia, StateDepartment of Education and District Education Office. This system is also useful as a decisionsupport system for the selection of the students based on various data for each student's profile.
