Web sites and web technologies have impacted on many aspects of everyday life. Most highereducation systems have now been changed due to the influence of the internet and web applications.This research aims to investigate student's views of using Web2.0 to interact with lecturers. Web 2.0 iscurrent the main stream of the Social Web. Social Web is defined as an open global distributed datasharing network which links people, organizations and concepts.A Simi-structured questionnaire was distributed to more than 30 universities/institutes in highereducation to gather data about their opinion about using web technology in their education. Datacollected from Saudi Arabia and the participants were students who are older than 18 years and usewebsites for study purposes. In total, 1361 participations have been accepted as valid. 969 weremales and 377 were females and 15 did not mention their gender. The results of this paper havepresented students' views in three categories: opinions, reasons and potential obstacles that mightface applying Social Network Sites (SNS) in higher education.
