摘要

LiDAR system mounted on an aircraft or a helicopter provides quick and efficient data collection about the state of overhead power line and its corridor. Using the appropriate software, the digital model of a power line and its surroundings can be processed and obtained data can provide information about the exact position of each conductor, the geometry of the pylons, terrain profile and positions and shapes of all ground objects including trees, medium vegetation, buildings and other potentially interesting objects. From this data, it is possible to extract information about the state of the scanned power line not only for operational conditions at the time of scanning, but it is also possible to estimate the state of the power line during extreme climatic conditions. This article deals with the analysis of the achievable accuracy of methods which are used for the reconstruction of the conductor geometry from the original point clouds and for the estimation of conductor geometry during the extreme climatic conditions.
