摘要

Dioxins are one of the most harmful persistent organic pollutants that exist. These molecules resist environmental degradation and they bio-accumulate in animal tissue since they are highly lipophilic. Detection and quantification of dioxins are difficult tasks because these molecules are presents at trace levels in aqueous streams. Liquid-Phase Microextraction (LPME) is a technology that allows to concentrate one or many compounds, originally present at low concentrations, using microliters of solvent. Therefore, this technique allows to quantify the solutes using conventional analytical methods like GC or HPLC.
