摘要

The paper presents a simplified and generic, but meticulous, model for its flight dynamics is presented based on basic principles and in-house computational code. To this end, the basic unsteady aerodynamic approach incorporating viscous effect and leading-edge suction is utilized from the kinematic, aerodynamic and flight mechanics perspective. As a first step towards establishing a viable model, only flight dynamics in the plane of symmetry is worked out, in order to gain insight for further development of refined model. Based on the developed model, parametric study is carried out and flapping strategies are elaborated and numerically simulated, followed by assessment on the design and articulation strategy of some generic flapping ornithopter. Comparison of the present result and other similar results in the literature is carried out for validity and further development assessment.
