A novel mesoscale combustor with a plate flame holder and preheating channels was manufactured in this paper, and the laminar premixed flame structures were studied experimentally and numerically. The experimental results showed that this special structure has excellent performance for anchoring flame, and the flame can remain steadily symmetrical behavior at a very low equivalence ratio. The three-dimensional numerical simulation reproduced the flame structure in combustion chamber very well. The transverse and longitudinal characteristics of flame structure were displayed from different viewing angles and the transverse superimposed effect of flame front was revealed. For the transverse structure of flame front, the flame root shifts downstream and the flame top shifts downstream firstly and then shifts upstream when approaching the side wall. With respect to the longitudinal structure, the flame front near the center of combustion chamber is nearly straight, but the flame front near the side wall presents obvious bending.
