STANDARDISATION OF SIMULATION STUDIES BY USE OF XML-TECHNOLOGY

摘要

In industrial simulation projects it is important to perform simulation studies very efficiently with an appropriate documentation. Additionally, most simulation studies have to be processed under hard time constraints. Therefore powerful tools are very helpful to improve speed and quality. The approach shown in this paper has the objective to develop IT structures which allow managing model data and experiment parameters as well as simulation results very professionally. The concept based on XML technology is platform-independent and is supposed to enable simulation studies very efficiently even in distributed network systems. The required information for simulation models and simulation experiment definitions is put into a simulation study definition and report structure (SSDRS). Further the simulation process can be controlled by use of XML-RPC technology from a simulation client on a simulation server and the simulation result data are transferred as XML-Files.
