The system consists of predetermined periods based on motion studies and time measurements at three levels. It requires only one type of documentation representing the work procedures, the standard times, the organisational levels of the work, the degrees of difficulty and the possibilities of improvement of the methods. The work is divided into three degrees of action. The first degree involves handling objects and tools by a person. The second degree consists of releasing the objects or tools and the third degree defines the execution of sundry motions. A relationship is established between the three degrees.
