Geological model in conventional inversion has the feature of high vertical resolution, however, the model built by logging data interpolation under the constraint of layers can hardly indicate horizontal lithological variation because of simple velocity changes in horizon. As full waveform inversion (FWI) can produce more accurate velocity model based on the theory of acoustic wave propagation by seismic shot gathers, this paper introduces a primary constrained modeling method by jointly using the low frequency component of FWI and the high frequency component of well logging information through inventing an extraction and fusion method. Further constrained inversion based on the joint model is successfully and reliably applied in reservoir characterization of glutenite deposition in Shengli oilfield of SINOPEC.
