We compare some experimental techniques for detection of the ferromagnetic resonance and spin waves resonance in thin ferromagnetic films and patterned magnetoresistance devices. For a 20 nm NiFe film the microwave frequency dispersion relation and damping parameter were obtained by inductive microwave magnetometer and scalar network analysis. Finally, on a 2×90 μm~2 magnetoresitive stripe FMR and standing spin wave spectra were measured by means of spin diode effect.
