The demand for UV formulations with a long life cycle is increasing due to the use of new high performance materials. These high performance materials are utilized in furniture, flooring, automotive, communication and engineering applications. Demands on these materials are quite high and include operation at a broad temperature range, optical transparency, abrasion resistance, improved tensile strength, chemical resistance, and mechanical toughness. By using free radical UV curing with silica based nanotechnology of different particle size, coatings with outstanding performance characteristics can be achieved.
