Flat Foldable Hat Designed on Origami Based Pattern

摘要

In our last research, we designed the foldable skirt designed on the pattern of conical truss model, and created its fabricated sample in smaller size by kilt clothing. In this paper, the foldable hat folded in the vertical directrion is tried to be fenerated. The pattern is separated as the flange and head. The flange part is designed on the basis of Archimedes spiral folding and the head part is designed on the basis of conical truss model. Considering folding condition at nodes, we generated the ideal design which is most convenient beautiful. Finally, the fabricated sample is made of kilt clothing by using sewing machine, and also the sample of rain hat is made of vinyl chloride. And, the sample of rain hat made of vinyl chloride is more rigid and stable than hat made of kilt clothing. Vinyl chloride is not only water proof but also effective for strong wind.
