摘要

Within two recently finished RFCS research projects through-process control strategies for the electrical steelmaking route were developed to support a reliable, simultaneous achievement of the requested liquid steel quality and temperature at start of casting under minimum energy and material costs with optimal productivity. Detailed investigations on the effects of material additions and operational parameters within all aggregates of the process route (EAF, LF, VD) regarding steel temperature evolution as well as pick-up and removal of carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen and sulphur have been performed, and analytical as well as statistical models have been developed or adapted to describe the relevant interdependencies.
