The purpose of this study was to compare the level of apical leakage between canals filled with Zinc Oxide eugenol (IRM), Gutta-flow (Coltene), Apexit (Ivoclar), AH-26 Plus (De Trey-Dentsply, Konstanz, Germany), Forfenan (Septodont) and Seal apex, when submitted to different filling techniques. Extracted teeth were instrumented and randomly divided into five experimental groups (in accordance with the material and techniques used, lateral condensation and hybrid technique - HT) and two control groups. After 7 days in an oven (37°C, 100% humidity), the teeth were immersed in 2% methylene blue dye, cleared and leakage was measured. With respect to the presence of leakage, there was no difference between the filling techniques (p < 0.05), but one appeared between the sealing ability of the different materials. Ah 26 Plus and Gutta-flow have shown the best sealing power.
