OPTIMIZING THE LIFE CYCLE OF AEROSPACE PRODUCTS USING ACCELERATED LIFE TESTING

Today reliability testing represents an important field in a product's development cycle. This paper presents the importance of implementation of accelerated life testing (ALT) in a product's life cycle, but also the major advantages yielded by it. The case study introduced the concept of accelerated life testing in aviation by testing 12 helicopter blades. The statistical analysis and data testing plan were realized using the ALTA 7 software.
