摘要

A simulation-based development of a high-feed milling tool for structuring sheet bulk metal forming tool surfaces is introduced. Based on a geometrical simulation the development chain will be reversed by designing the milling tool to the requirements of the surface topographies. Taking into account surface parameters, the design of the tool as well as the milling parameter values will be changed and simulated to predict the surface topographies prior to the real machining process. Within this reversed process chain the surface parameters can be adjusted regarding the requirements of the forming process.
