The press has two tool parts (4, 5) moveably and fixedly arranged in a machine stand (3) in a pressing direction (P), respectively. An auxiliary tool part (6) is placed between the moveable and fixed tool parts. The auxiliary tool part forms tool surfaces working together with the two tool parts for shaping a molded part (2). The auxiliary tool part is movable with drive units (7) in the pressing direction of the press, where the drive units are designed as a hydraulic piston cylinder system (9).
