Interpretation of dynamic reservoir properties from 4D seismic data can be difficult in practice due to natural uncertainties in pre-stack seismic inversion and potentially low signal to noise ratios. When 4D pre-stack elastic inversions are left to be data driven (unsupervised) the resulting dynamic interpretation can be difficult. In this paper we introduce a 4D prestack inversion workflow that incorporates a new dynamic constraint that provides much more coherent dynamic inversion results than using conventional inversion techniques. With little extra cost added to the seismic inversion, rock physics consistent combinations of elastic parameters can be inverted for. An example study next to a water injector is used to compare pressure and saturation inversion results from the contractor and from our constrained inversion workflow.
