摘要

The experimental results presented by NPO Energomash show a distinct possibility to increase output performances of oxygen-kerosene liquid rocket engines and the thrust-to-weight ratio of launch vehicles. It is possible to achieve it by using a modified rocket fuel - kerosene with soluble high molecular polyisobutylene. This additive significantly reduces friction pressure losses in the fuel feed system in liquid rocket engines. It was demonstrated that in engines without post-combustion the positive effect was the reduction of working fluid reserve to drive the turbo-pump unit on a launch vehicle. And in case of post-combustion engines it results in decreasing the temperature of the generator gas.
