Development of High-Density and Lightweight Aerial Optical Fiber Cable with Simple Cable Joint

We have developed a new high-density and lightweight aerial optical fiber cable with a joint part at each end, which is particularly suitable for use in rural areas. I: High-density and lightweight aerial optical fiber cable to achieve a high-density cable, our cable houses 24 optical fibers consisting of six roll-able 4-fiber opmass splicingtical fiber ribbons. We can divide a cable sheath into four pieces by sliding the tool along it, and this allows us to extract fibers without any loss change. II: Simple cable joint We developed a cable joint. This cable joint is attached to each cable end in the factory, so field workers can connect cables simply and quickly. By using this joint, we can connect cables in a few minutes.
