Mycoplasma hyorhinis is a bacterium commonly found in the upper respiratory tract of swine. This bacterium causes mainly polyserositis and arthritis in postweaningpigs. In addition to these lesions, it is considered a common cause of condemnations dueto lung peel outs at slaughter. The objectives of the study were (1) to determine the age at which M. hyorhinis maternal antibodies decay and nasal colonization occurs; (2) determine if M. hyorhinis is capable of aerosolization.
