Whole Earth Telescope Observations of the DAV EC14012-1446

We report on analysis of 308.3 h of high-speed photometry targeting the pulsating DA white dwarf EC 14012-1446. The data were acquired by the Whole Earth Telescope (WET) during XCOV28 in 2008. The Fourier transform of the complete light curve contains 19 independent frequencies distributed in 13 pulsation modes, with dominant peaks at 1,633.9,1,887.4, and 2,504.9μHz, as well as numerous combination frequencies. Our analysis reveals that these identified frequencies are consistent with a series of consecutive modes of spherical degree l = 1 with an average period spacing of 41s. Building on this foundation, we calculate preliminary nonlinear fits to high signal-to-noise light curves with the goal of extracting EC14012-1446's convective parameters τ_0 and N.
