In the current years the progress in communication systems requires the development of cost effective, low weight and low profile antennas that are proficient of maintaining high performance over a wide band of frequencies. This technical development has paying attention into the design of a microstrip patch antenna. The aim of this paper is to design, coaxial probe fed microstrip patch antenna array for high performance application. Desired patch antenna design was simulated by HFSS simulator software. Initially we set our antenna as a single patch and after evaluating the parameters; resonating frequency, radiation patterns, directivity and antenna gain, we transformed it to a 2 x 1 linear array. Finally, we investigated the 3 x 1 linear antenna arrays to increase directivity, gain, efficiency and have improved radiation patterns.
