Using terrestrial laser scan to monitor the upstream face of a rockfill weight dam

Monitoring of dams is an important aspect in ensuring their proper functioning. Monitoring can be done on several levels with physical methods or geometric methods (geodetic measurements). In the following paper I will show how a dam monitoring can be done using terrestrial laser scanning technology.
