摘要

In 2010 the Valley Christian Schools of San Jose, California formed the Applied Math, Science, and Engineering Committee (AMSE) to advance STEM education. The AMSE Committee conducted a brain storming session to develop new and exciting methods to teach and advance STEM. It was decided to set a goal to design, build, test, and launch a CubeSat within five years. Stanford University Professor Robert Twiggs, the father of the CubeSat, suggested that the AMSE Committee consider developing NanoLabs to fly on the International Space Station (ISS) NanoRacks LLC in preparation to launching the CubeSat.
