Out-coupling efficiency of 2.1 times higher than reference was obtained by using novel light-scattering substrate with white OLED. The substrate utilizes a scattering layer made of high refractive index glass matrix and ceramic particles for the enhancement of out-coupling efficiency combined with a surface coating layer for the leakage suppression. This structure enables high performance OLED lighting devices without losing reliability.
