Frequency Characteristics of Neuromagnetic Auditory Steady-State Response (ASSR)

This study aimed at capturing the finer and wider frequency characteristics of the ASSR in response to SAM chirp tones with carrier frequency sweeping exponentially from 0.1 to 12.5 kHz. The ECD moment showed a gradual curve peaking at around 0.5 kHz, representing the instantaneous neuronal sensitivity to the carrier frequencies. The results were consistent for the tones of parameters varied in duration or velocity, sweep direction, sound intensity levels and fm.
