Walkaway VSP data plays an important role in reservoir characterization. In this research Walkaway VSP data in one of the wells in South Pars field of Iran has been used to compute synthetic seismograms. In case of real survey for Walkaway data, sources located at the sea level and receivers were moved in the well at different depths interval. For the modeling technique, receivers were located on the surface and the sources were located in the well at different intervals. Velocity function derived by the modeling technique, proved by using sonic well log data. Finally synthetic seismic sections for the top of each reservoir zones have been found and compared with the real data.
