The construction of a new 750,000 ft~2 manufacturing center for cooking products, representing an investment of more than $190 million, by Electrolux in Memphis, TN was an opportunity to build a state of-the-art powder room minimizing the time for color changes. The new plant is manufacturing drop-in/slide-in ranges, wall ovens, specialty freestanding ranges, and cook tops. The three powder porcelain colors used on oven cavities are signature Cobalt Blue, Slate Gray, and Black. Other objectives and goals were to introduce new equipment and application technologies to enhance the system operation and ease of maintenance. It was presented a chance to combine desired features.
