摘要

We report Eu~(3+) incorporated poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF)nanocomposite film to induceelectroactive β-phase. It has been found thatsurface morphologies and crystallization properties of PVDF is markedly affected depedning on the prepration conditions and concentration of the Eu~(3+). In addition, self-poling phenomena is also observed in Eu~(3+) doped PVDF nanocomposite in accordance with β-phase formation, whichavoidselectrical poling and mechanical stretching process. Owing to self-poled electroactive β-phase nucleation in Eu~(3+) doped PVDF films opens its suitabilityin ferro-, piezo- and pyro-electric based device applications. Furthermore, due to presence of the Eu~(3+) ions in PVDF matrix, the resulting composite film exhibits improved dielectric properties with promising photoluminescence behavior that suits to design multifunctional energy storage and optoelectronics devices.
