Magnetic properties of multilayers of both metallic and oxide ferromagnetic materials are investigated. In metallic, it is the multilayer of nickel (Ni) and gadolinium (Gd) metals ([Ni/Gd]_(10)) and in oxide, it is multilayer of ferromagnetic perovskite La_2/_3Sr_(1/3)MnO_3 (LSMO) and La_(2/3)Ca_(1/3)MnO_3 (LCMO) as [LSMO/LCMO]_(10) materials. Multilayer films are prepared using dc sputtering and pulsed laser deposition. In both the cases a clear signature of antiferromagnetic coupling between the layers was observed. In addition, they display non-monotonic temperature dependence in coercivity.
